Snatch of the offseason: NY Jets

Once a week when the NFL starts I will post a "Snatch of the week" which pretty much means the person who fucked my life up that week. For instance Jay Cutler would've been "Snatch of the week" eight consecutive weeks last year. For a quick preview, Ken Lechner (guest editor) will give his "Snatch of the 2010 NFL off season" 1x SB winner the NY Jets:
And there over hyped media attention. For a team that went 9-7 and had a Qb throw 22 int and who must of been a mental midget that they color coordinated his wrist band so that the retart wouldn't make a mistake, the media attention is sickening. Granted they boasted a very good d as well as the top running in the league and not to mention lady luck was all over there cocks last year, Lets not forget if it wasn't for luck they wouldn't of even made the playoffs. Just ask Rex Ryan who thought they were eliminated when they lost to the Jags, but that was last year. Lets take a history lesson shall we the Jets are 340-408-8 in their history. They made the playoffs 13 times in 40 not exactly the steelers. They have only won there divison 4 times throughtout the so called "glorious history" of the Jets, oh wait thery did win Super Bowl 3 back in 1968. In 1982 the jets made it all the way to the AFC Championship game with their sack exchange defensive and lost to Miami. In 1983 the Jets came into the season an over hyped team that was finally gonna win it all again; Well they ended that season 7-9 missing the playoffs. Fast forward to 1998 the Jets coming off a decent 9-7 finish year before goes 12-4 makes it all the way back to AFC championship game and guess who they lose to? The Denver Broncos. So what happens when 1999 rolls around and the Jets are once again going to win it all, their time is now!!! Well as the saying goes "Same old Jets" and they finished 8-8 out of playoffs. So now the 2010 season rolls around, are we to believe a team with this type of notoriously pathetic history is going to rise to glory once again? I won't hold my breath. As Mark Twain once said "Facts are stubborn, but statistics are more pliable" and the facts are the Jets are an over hyped team and if history has taught us anything they will disappoint their fans once again. -KL
